Indicaci�n

Patients suffering from informed coronary heart disease and moderate/serious hypercholesterolemia, despite dietary treatment. To be used combined with diet to: Decrease risk of death, decrease risk of death due to coronary causes and the risk of non-fatal myocardial infarction; decrease the risk of cerebrovascular accident and transient ischemic attack; decrease the risk of undergoing by-pass operations (by-pass graft of coronary arteries and percutanerous transluminal coronary angioplasty) and slow down the hardening of the coronary arteries, reducing the appearance of new injuries and complete artery occlusion. Simvastatina CUVE is suitable for patients with hyperlipidaemia, together with a diet, to lower total cholesterol (C-total), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (C-LDL), apolipoprotein B (apo-B) and high triglycerides (TG) and increase high density lipoprotein cholesterol (C-HDL) in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia, heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia or combined hyperlipidaemia, when the response to the diet and other non-pharmacological actions is not appropriate. As a result, simvastatin, lowers the C-LDL/C-HDL and C-total/C-HDL counts. Simvastatin is also suitable to be used combined with a diet and other non-dietary actions to lower high C-total, C-LDL and apo-B, in patients suffering from heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia when the response to these actions is not appropriate.
